10.30 a.m. to 2.00 p.m. Expert workshop Screen printing or digital printing trends in screen printing, Guarantor of this event is Screen printing Association of the Czech Republic, a member of the International Association of FESPA. Lectures program of the seminar are focused on synergistic effect in the segments of screen printing and new digital technologies that are currently entering into screen printing or are progressively applied to the current standard s work techniques. The main theme is a general view of the printing industry and its development. Another key lecture is focused on textile printing, which is currently one of the most topical issues. Segment of the textile printing in the printing industry is among the areas with the greatest potential for growth at all. An integral part of the seminar is also the inputs aimed at screen printing industry and its profiling in the digital printing.

Chris Smith is one of the most experienced members of FESPA association leadership and his many years of experience in personnel predestine him to act as head of the section membership services. Before he started working in the industrial area of screen printing and digital printing, he worked 18 years as a human resources manager UK Public Services Union. He joined the UK Digital & Screen Printing Association in 1997 and was there charged about presenting the benefits and services offered by the professional association and the organization of its very successful exhibit at fairs FESPA 2002 and 2005. In August 2005, Chris was appointed manager of the section of new projects and membership services, and in 2008 he was inducted into the function of the head of the section FESPA membership services. As chairman of the Project committee FESPA he participated in the evaluation of nearly 200 projects supported by FESPA Association including a number of seminars organized by the Member National Unions of this association. Chris also had a decisive role in the issue of FESPA Sensations sampler that offers a comprehensive overview of print effects enabled by the screen printing technology. Chris Smith carefully monitors the growth of membership base of FESPA Association and its global expansion, and together with other members of his small team working closely on providing consultancy, support and other services to the Member National Unions of FESPA Association. In fulfilling his role in heart "FESPA family" he received a large number of close friends around the world.
1. Trends in the printing industry

Neil Falconer, senior consultant – printing, Pira International Neil Falconer has a more than twenty five year work experience in the printing industry. He was active in leading positions in the field of sheetfed offset, screen printing, flexoprinting as well as digital print. He dealt with the production technology, issues of customer service as well as strategic management. At present he focuses on the implementation of manager information systems and digital workflow in the publication print and at the installation of digital printing technologies. In the Pira International Company he directs his attention to the strategic development of supplier chains for the printing industry. His technical and strategic consulting activity also included participation in the projects Best Practice Purchasing in the Printing Industry and The Impact of Print Management and Print Horizons. Neil lectured at many workshops and professional conferences focused on issues of the printing industry development. He belongs to prominent representatives of the novel initiative development in instruction training and product solutions in the printing industry.
2. The Future of Textile Printing

Michel Caza, GPSF, France Michel Caza, the current vice president of the French Association of Screen & Digital Printers Association (GPSF) and president of its technical and environmental committee started his activities in the field of screen printing in 1954 in Sweden. During his career he was active in many companies of business printing industry. In 2004 he sold his last Graficaza company specializing in industrial graphic screen printing, in which he served as CEO and Technical Manager. He specializes in extremely sophisticated type of screen printing using a printing process colors with a very fine screen ruling to 300 lines / inch allowing printing of a wide range of materials, from paper through textiles to any plastic material. Michel Caza also holds a Master Art screen printer degree, he is author of more than 2800 serigraphic originals and is in this branch one of the most famous artists in the world. His former company Graficaza was famous by exceptionally high quality of its production and between the years 1983 - 2004 it won in the American Association competitions SGIA and FESPA European association more than 350 awards. Michel Caza also acts as a technical writer consultant and researcher and acts as a speaker at conferences and seminars. He participated in the development of extremely sophisticated improvements of screen printing technology in the UV areas and halftone printing, improvement of tension network, innovation printing inks, squeegees, etc. In 1962 he was one of the founders of the International Association of FESPA, and he is still a member of its leadership, and was also one of its previous nine presidents. Today Michel Caza is an international consultant in the area of screen printing technology and co-owner of the newly built Terascreen company focused on the sale of sophisticated equipment for screen printing in Europe.

4. Increasing the attractiveness of printed matter by means of Merck effect pigments
Mirka Řehořová, Merck spol. s r. o., Czech Republic

Mirka Řehořová studied inorganic chemistry at the Technical High School in Merseburg, Germany. After graduating in 1988, she briefly worked at the Research Institute of Glass Union Teplice, in Kovofiniš in Ledeč nad Sázavou as well as as an independent translator. Since 1996 she is active in the company Merck, which is a large international pharmaceutical and chemical manufacturer. She works in sales representation of this company in the Czech Republic and she gradually dealt with the sale of laboratory equipment, laboratory chemicals and microbiological media. Since 2006, she is responsible for sales of effect pigments for the printing area, paints, plastics and cosmetics in the Czech Republic and since 2012 also in the Slovak Republic. Thanks to the training in the parent company she gained a good grasp on ways of the application of these pigments in various printing techniques.
