This year´s Seminar raised the bar not only by a step but at least by three steps. First of all the organizing work of the Committee of our partner Union, precision of the preparation as well as smooth performance of the whole event has to be appreciated.
An incredible amount of participants was registered in the Seminar – in total over one hundred including two tens of students, for whom it was an interesting completion of their polygraphic studies. Congratulations to such a numerous attendance, speakers and guests from 13 countries. Interesting were discussions even between competing firms, friendly spirit during all dealings and presentations, effort for a wider publicity of the screen print and digital print among young generation, as well.
Excellent level of most papers, by Michel Cazy in particular, who communicated the most topical knowledge in a almost world-class presentation of UV colours for textile and also outlined a visionary outlook (Steve Jobs screen print?). Fast technology for production of print forms communicated by György Kovacz and a non traditional look at the work of Member Unions and the position of FESPA by Chris Smith captured attention. Interesting were work demonstrations of the both most remote and most devoted travelers to the Seminar from Ukraine, slightly theoretical, nevertheless useful papers on marketing- also purely screen print practical and full of suggestions paper by Radko Šternberk. Several papers were devoted to the dynamic development of the digital print and to news in this field.
The Seminar was accompanied by an interesting small exhibition of firms from the Slovak -and Czech Republic offering materials and equipment for the screen print and digital print. So participants had opportunity to discuss their problems with specialists on the spot.
Local TV reporting was shot at the seminar and extensive documentation for the needs of FESPA including discussions with many participants in particular – this will doubtless contribute to a wide presentation of the successful event.
In brief “Bill” is already a name, symbol of quality, invites for participation not only members of the Slovak Union; it is also appreciated by foreign specialists who present there topical themes – next year you should not be missing either.
